Today I give thanks for...
What this picture reminds me of. Teddy FaceTimed while I was reading in my room and Lily was doing homework at my desk the other night. He called in the mood to chat and so we talked for longer than usual and about more than usual. It was a great call. So good to connect. Hear his voice. See his face.
A room (a clean room) to come home to.
We'll see him next weekend.
This beautiful bouquet Jess came bearing.
Bonsai trees. I've had the one in the middle for almost three years. Lily gave it to me and it's quite special.
It was a mostly beautiful week. I got one last wear out of this lavender eyelet dress I found this summer.
Starting to gravitate to the fall colors. Orange is one of my favorites.
Peanut on a good day. He's been up and down. This week we took him to a specialist. I'm more confused than ever and also much poorer.
Picking up my paint brushes this week when I needed to make a couple cards.
Lily has been preparing her own lunch most mornings. her go to is a chicken buffalo wrap. Her Uncle Brad taught her to love these. Her version may be better.
Getting used to our new normal. Trying to get to bed earlier and having to get up earlier too. Working on having dinner ready at a decent hour and homework completed after practice.
The debates. We watched the whole spectacle. I love debates. So does my guy. Lily tuned in for a good portion too. Some of her comments and observations were quite astute. There is a little hope for her generation.
Wasa crackers. Where have they been all my life? So good with tuna or peanut butter or cheese.
Zesters. They are our new favorite apple. The harvest is late this year so when I stopped by the farm, they only had these beauts. I'm going back this week for more.
